Why we started Moovlee

At Moovlee, our aim is to help kids look after their physical and mental health. We have been releasing short exercise/mindfulness  videos on YouTube for a few years now and are thrilled that they are being used in homes and schools all around the world. These videos are short, easy to fit into your day and they provide children with different exercises to help them calm their bodies and minds and refocus.

We wanted to create short 'brain break' style videos children could do if they were struggling with big emotions or if they were feeling agitated or over-excited. We also wanted these videos to incorporate stretching exercises and strength exercises for their physical health benefits as well. When children maintain their strength and flexibility while they are young, they are much more likely to stay physically healthy as adults. It is much easier to maintain fitness than it is to lose it and have to regain it!

We strongly believe in the benefits of exercise and breathing practice for both physical and mental health. Numerous studies have shown this to be true. If children are able to learn to use these techniques while they are young, we believe that they will be able to manage their strong emotions more effectively throughout their whole lives. When kids practice these exercises consistently, they wont need to be watching the videos for them to work, it will become a habit and they can learn to help calm themselves in any situation.
